Pathobiology Group

Introduction to the Pathology Group

The members of the Pathology Group, until the first semester of 1395, were members of a group called the Veterinary Laboratory Sciences Group at Lorestan University. In the second semester of 1395, due to the transformation of the Veterinary College into the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the approval of the new faculty chart by the University's Board of Trustees, this group was renamed the Pathology Group. The parasitology and entomology laboratories, the bacteriology laboratory, the virology laboratory, the molecular diagnostics laboratory, and the pathology laboratory related to the Pathology Group provide services to all educational levels in the faculty and sometimes to students of other faculties regarding educational and research services.

The activities of the group members, in addition to teaching courses related to their specialization, include:

a) Conducting research in the form of intra-university and extra-university projects

b) Educational, research, executive, and cultural collaborations with other institutions

c) Consulting and guiding theses of postgraduate and general veterinary medicine doctoral students

Currently, educational and research issues of the Bachelor of Laboratory Sciences, Master of Parasitology and Bacteriology are decided by the mentioned group.
